Deciduous shrub or small tree. Multiple trunks. Fast growth. Compact hybrid of V. agnus-castus and V. rotundifolia. AKA Helen Froehlich. Aromatic leaves are divided fanwise into five to seven narrow leaflets grayish green above, gray beneath. No real fall color. Blooms summer to fall. Small, fragrant purple flowers held in spikes at branch ends and in leaf joints. Moderate to Low water needs once established.
