Deciduous shrub or small, multi-trunk tree. Fast growth. Aromatic leaves are divided fanwise into five to seven narrow leaflets grayish green above, gray beneath. No real fall color. Blooms summer to fall. Small, fragrant purple flowers held in spikes at branch ends and in leaf joints. Low water needs once established.
