Deciduous shrub. Compact but upright in habit when young and rounding with age. Foliage is an attractive bright green. Flowering is sparse, therefore so is fruiting. There are reports of heavy flowering and fruiting but I have yet to experience. Fruits, if produced, are scarlet. Fall color is an excellent red. Regular water in well drained soil once established.
