Deciduous tree. Dwarf habit. Sometimes used for bonsai and rock gardens. Slightly faster growing than other dwarf cultivars. Small green leaves turn dull yellow in fall, although can sometimes do a more interesting shade or yellow or even reddish-purple. Multi-colored, flaky bark. Can tolerate clay soil. Low to moderate water needs once established.
