Deciduous tree. Fast growth. Rounded crown with vase shaped growing habit. It is noted for its elliptic, toothed, glossy, dark green leaves, mottled bark and resistance to Dutch elm disease. fluted trunk, exfoliating bark (shades of grays, gray greens and orange-browns), narrow leaves. Not showy yellow fall color. Low to moderate water needs once established.
