Deciduous perennial. Clump forming but spreading habit. Toothed, shallowly-lobed, rounded hairy, long-stalked, dark green leaves. Leaves may be tinged with purple and are semi-evergreen in warm winters. Greenish-white, bell-shaped flowers with fringed petals appear in late spring. Flowers mature to pink. Moderate to regular water needs in rich, well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 0°F or below.
