Evergreen tree in very mild climates. Pruned to have a single trunk. NOT FOR ZONE 14. Native to tropical parts of America. Tends to be gangly or irregular when young. Benefits from training in early years. Leaves are typically green, may be simple or divided into leaflets arranged like the fingers of a hand. Bears 2-3″ flowers in white to light pink and purple. Sometimes reblooms in late summer or fall. Does not bloom as a young tree. Regular water in well-drained soil once established.
