Deciduous shrub. San form broad thickets or sometimes narrower fountains. Soft, bright green to blue-green leaves. Bell-shaped flowers are light pink or white with a pink tinge. Showy berries, swelling to half of an inch across and pearly white in color. Berries often hang on until late winter. Clean foliage. Moderate water needs once established.
