Evergreen perennial. Large, very soft and velvety pale silver leaves form a spreading mound. Blossom stalks bear small purplish flowers in the spring. Frost and rain can make the foliage mushy but it recovers well. Deer resistant. Moderate water needs once established. Hardy to 0°F.
