Evergreen in mild climates. Mostly deciduous where there is frost. Vigorous, upright, velvety plant. Lance shaped, to linear leaves are dark grayish green above and whitish below. Stems to 1 foot long bear whorls of white flowers with purple calyxes. Takes well to pruning. Low water needs once established.
