Deciduous perennial. Bright green foliage has silvery undersides and stems. Dark purple to nearly black tubular flowers appear in summer to early fall. Attracts bees and hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Low to moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 32°F.
