Deciduous shrub. Can be pruned into a small tree rose. Usually kept as a 3 foot bush. Velvet purple with spicy clove fragrance. The compact rounded plant will lend itself to smaller spaces and enrich any landscape. Bright green leaves contrast nicely to the dark and show flowers. Deeper color and bigger blooms in cooler temps. Moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established.
