Deciduous tree. Pruned to have a single trunk. Open spreading shrub or small tree. Reddish-brown hairs that cover the young branchlets. Ornamental fruiting clusters and excellent fall foliage color. Large, compound, odd-pinnate leaves are bright green above and glaucous beneath. Females produce berry clusters which ripen to bright red in fall. Low to moderate water needs once established.
