Evergreen tree. This specimen has a single central leader with branching starting near the base of the plant. Moderate growth rate. Widely spreading rounded canopy. Small leathery dark-green oval leaves with prickly edges. Medium-sized acorns. California native. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant once established.
