Deciduous grass. Sometimes called ‘Strawberries and Cream’. Upright, rhizomatous habit with flat, green leaf blades tinged white. Airy panicles of greenish white to pale pink flowers bloom above the foliage but are not particularly showy. Can be invasive and should be contained. Black walnut tolerant. Drought tolerant once established but can grow in standing water.
