Deciduous vine. Gigantic vine but easily controlled by pruning. Mostly five-parted leaves with toothed leaflets are dark green with a matte surface. Adopts a variety of hues in fall including a plum purple. Berries are nearly black. Moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established.
