Deciduous rhizome (bulb) that will commonly die back to the ground during frosts. Itoh peonies are hybrids of garden peonies and tree peonies. Cherry red buds open to orange and apricot colored single to semi-double flowers in late spring and early summer. Deep green, glossy leaves. Deer resistant. Regular water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 0°F and below.
