Deciduous perennial. Small green leaves form a low growing clumping mat. Bright violet-red flowers on thin stems grow to 18″ and create an airy effect over the foliage in mid summer. Flowers can be cut for arrangements. Spreads slowly. Deer resistant. Little to moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 10-15°F.
