Evergreen perennial. Large, lush, green leaves grow into a giant rosette atop a slender cane-like stem. Will turn bronze in the summer. After several years, large umbels of pink-tinted flowers bloom spectacularly through the spring and summer, followed by black seed heads. Monocarpic (dies after flowering), but will self-seed and regrow. Moderate water needs once established, but requires good drainage. Hardy to 0°F.
