Deciduous tree. Fast growing. Upright, extremely narrow columnar form. also known as Liquidambar styraciflua ‘Fastigiata’. First discovered before 2018 along a railroad track in Tennesee. Large, palmate-shaped, bright-green leaves. Fall color varies but may include shades of yellow, orange, red, or burgundy. Seed pods are spiky balls and quantity varies year to year, but usually fewer than parent species. Best growth habit and shape in average to poor soils with modest watering. Moderate water needs once established.
