Deciduous perennial. Green grassy leaves grow from thick, often tuberous rootstocks. In summer, tufts lengthen into tall stems densely set with leaves and topped by bright white “foxtails”. Attracts butterflies. Regular water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 0°F and below.
