Evergreen shrub. Pruned into a single trunk tree. Upright, dense habit with dark red leaves and single, deep rich-red blooms with a dark center that appear in a very strong flush in the spring as well as in the fall. It has tiny needle-like green leaves often tinged with pink (especially during cold temperatures). Low to moderate water needs once established.
