Deciduous shrub or small tree. Pruned to have a single trunk. Dark green foliage (bronze tinged when young) turning dull orange to dark red in fall, grayish bark which exfoliates with age. Medium pink flowers from mid-summer to early fall. Drought tolerant once established.
