Evergreen grass. Shorter and less invasive than the straight species. Reportedly rarely flowers, does not set seed. Some experts claim, however, that regardless of the tamer tendencies of this red-leaved cultivar/variety, plants can revert to green and quickly reacquire invasive characteristics. Regular water needs once established.
