Evergreen perennial. Appealing maple-shaped gold-green leaves with soft red centers grow into compact low mounds. Autumn color is soft golden-brown. Great for adding color to shade gardens, or statement mass plantings. Delicate white flower stalks rise above the foliage and bloom midsummer. Deer resistant. Moderate water needs once established; do not let dry out between watering. Requires good drainage. Hardy to 0°F.
