Evergreen perennial. California native. Appealing heart-shaped soft green leaves with bold veins grow into attractive low mounds. Great for adding color to shade gardens, or statement mass plantings. Delicate soft pink flower stalks rise above the foliage and bloom midsummer through fall. Deer resistant. Moderate water needs once established; do not let dry out between watering. Requires good drainage. Hardy to 10°-15°F.
