Deciduous vine. Evergreen in very mild climates. Aggressive habit and needs a large structure to support it. Climbs using tendrils. Unique looking, fragrant flowers of white and purple bloom in spring. Oval, purple skinned fruit forms in spring and early summer. Less productive flowers appear in fall as well. Fruit should be harvested once it drops to the ground, never directly off of the vine. Prefers slightly acidic soil. Regular water needs once established.
