Evergreen tree/shrub. WILL FREEZE IN SONOMA COUNTY. This specimen has a straight center trunk, with foliage starting lower than a normal tree canopy. Mostly grown as a houseplant. Aggressive root system when planted outdoors. Simple glossy, attractive, gray-green leaves with irregular ivory margins. Inconspicuous flowers bloom in spring and are followed by small fruit that may be orange, pink, or red, but rarely appear on interior plants. Moderate to regular water needs once established.
