Deciduous perennial. Burgundy new leaves mature to fleshy deep bronzy green. Tough relative of the Christmas Poinsettia. Interesting cup-shaped lime-green “flowers” have a purple tinge too and bloom in summer into fall. Foliage and flowers turn more colorful in cold weather. Deer resistant. Low to moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 0°F or below.
