Deciduous perennial. Almost ferny, pointed soft green leaves form a relatively low mat. Tough relative of the Christmas Poinsettia. Although deciduous in most areas, it is useful as a groundcover in difficult areas. Small cup-shaped “flowers” late spring through summer are yellow-green. Deer resistant. Low to moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 0°F or below.
