Deciduous tree. Slow growing. Native to Pacific Northwest and Northern California. White flower bracts appear on bare branches in spring. Oval shaped green leaves turn yellow, red and pink in the fall. Small red fruit also appears in the fall. Dislikes routine garden watering, fertilizing, and pruning. Regular water needs in well-drained soil once established
