Evergreen shrub. California native. Shrubby green birch-like leaves grow on open arching branches. Small creamy-white fragrant flowers are follower by unique silky feather-like seed tails. Attracts bees and other beneficial pollinators. Somewhat deer resistant. Adapts to a variety of soil conditions. Drought tolerant once established, but requires good drainage.
