Evergreen clumping bamboo. Creates a graceful, billowy screen. It is important to remember that as the culms reach 10-15 feet they can then bow over, nearly to the ground, and the width of the plant is considerable. Stems are smooth and dark brown; dark green leaves are carried in dense sprays. It is easily grown in sun or shade near the coast but needs some shading and sheltering from hot, dry winds inland. Moderate to regular water needs once established.
