Description
Deciduous perennial. Three-part leaf covers stems of this pea-family plant. Erect and clumping; spikes of bright dark blue flowers in spring and summer, followed by inflated pea-shaped seed pods that darken as summer progresses. Does not like to be moved. Low water needs once established. Adaptable to various soil conditions. Hardy to 0°F.
