Evergreen shrub. Upright habit. California native. Valued for its ability to flourish in a wide range of conditions and as an excellent habitat plant offering food and cover to a wide variety of wildlife. Creamy white flowers bloom summer to early fall, but are not showy. Not fussy about soils. Quite drought tolerant once established. Responds well to pruning or shearing. Low water needs once established.
