Deciduous shrub. Large flowers and fruit, which are borne on a relatively compact, suckering shrub. Each pure white bloom measures nearly an inch across, and each deliciously sweet, deep purple fruit is a full 1/2 inch in diameter. You’ll have to get up early to beat the birds to the harvest. Orange-red fall color. Young plants often bloom their second year. Moderate water needs once established.
