Deciduous perennial. Soft fleshy leaves on compact stems bear showy tube-shaped flowers. Clumps spread in ground from tubers. Large bright purple flowers with a splash of off-white in the center and dark specs appear in late spring and re-bloom often. Deer resistant. Moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 15°F.
