Deciduous tree. Fast growing with an oval to rounded canopy. Good shade and lawn tree. Classic maple leaf shape. Foliage emerges with a flush of red, then ages to dark green. Bright red fall color deepens to burgundy before leaf drop. Small red flowers in spring, followed by winged seed/fruit called samaras. Moderate to regular water needs once established.
