Deciduous perennial. Bushy, fine textured plant with narrow green leaves. French tarragon is used to flavor fish, chicken, or egg dishes or in salads, dressings, sauces, vinegars or oils. Tiny, greenish-white flowers appear summer through frost. Spreads slowly by creeping rhizomes. Deer resistant. Moderate to regular water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 0°F or less.
