Deciduous perennial. Deeply lobed leaves grow up to two feet long with swirling variegation of white. Can tolerate drought, but will go dormant in hot weather if not watered, then come back to life when it begins to rain. Tall spikes of creamy white and pink flowers are held high above the foliage clump. Blooms late spring to early summer. Moderate to regular water needs once established. Hardy to 0°F and below.
