Deciduous perennial. California native. Foliage has a metallic silver sheen and creates tight mounds or mats. Large, tubular glowing scarlet flowers appear in summer and fall. Attracts hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Moderate to little water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 10°F or less.
