Evergreen shrub. Single, unbranched trunk. Can be cut back to be single trunked. Spreads by offsets to make large groups. Blue gray leaves are 2-3 feet long, 2 inches wide, and sharply bent downward. Leaf tips are spined but bend to the touch. White flowers in late spring or early summer. Moderate water needs once established.
