Deciduous perennial. Magenta flowers from early summer until frost. Bright green leaves. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. While other sage is known as being deer resistant, this species attracts deer. Does well in containers. Moderate water needs in well-drained soil once established. Hardy to 30-32°F.
