Deciduous shrub. This Pink Flowering Currant is the most vigorous and showy of all the selections we have tried. A stunning shrub in winter and spring, when it is covered in bright pink flower clusters easily half a foot long. Hummingbirds love the flowers, and songbirds are attracted by the fruits that develop in the summer. It will quickly reach 8′ in height with a pleasant vase shape. Drought tolerant once established, but grows faster with summer water. Very clay tolerant.
