Evergreen shrub. This hybrid between japonica and formosa has a more upright habit. Slow growing. Rounded form with layered branching pattern. Oval dark green leaves arranged in whorls. New leaves are bronzy-pink before turning green. Drooping clusters of dark pink urn-shaped flowers that fade to white in late winter and spring. Regular water needs once established.
