Evergreen grass. Pale pink flowers in summer. Flowers are followed by dark purple berries. Glossy, deep purplish-black blades. Grows in clumps and spreads slowly by underground stems. Prefers areas with well-drained soil and dappled shade in the afternoon. Moderate water needs once established. Hardy to 15-20° F.
