Deciduous perennial. Loose and sprawling form. This is the original catnip that is attractive to cats, but is also used as an herb. Soft green leaves have serrated edges and a downy surface. Unremarkable white to pinkish flowers rise above the foliage from late spring to early summer. Shearing after flowering promotes rebloom. Attracts bees and butterflies. Heat and deer resistant. Drought tolerant once established, but requires good drainage. Hardy to 0°F and below.
