Evergreen tree. This specimen has a straight, central trunk with branching starting closer to the base of the plant. Slow growing. Dense rounded canopy. Medium sized dark green leathery oval leaves, whitish on the underside. Big bottlebrush-like clusters of red flowers in summer. Dark brown bark. Sensitive to frost, best suited to warmer winter areas. Drought tolerant once established.
